Introduction to Drawing - Project 3

In this project, we are given a specific block and level in Taylor's University Lakeside Campus according to our lecturers. We need to select a space that within 10m x 10m from the chosen level.

After that we are required to fill up our A2 boards as follow:

  • One key plan
  • One location plan
  • One site plan
  • One floor plan
  • Two elevations
  • Two sections
  • One detail drawing

The Brief

In groups of 6, we were assigned to create drawings of Block D Level 3. As we have to produce individual drawings, I chose Classroom D3.07 and D3.08 as my site.
During tutorial sessions, Ms Ida reviewed our work through our progress drawings. She gave us some valuable advice and suggestions to our work. After that, I referred to my rough sketches and the progress drawings to produce the two final A2 boards.

THE FINAL A2 BOARDS

Through this project, sleepless night thought me about proper time management is very important. Also, I learned how to solve problems regarding composition of data in limited space is challenging and time consuming.

However, I understood more about the facilities, infrastructure and circulation of Block D after conducting site analysis.I am now more skillful in producing the drawing than before. However, I enjoyed producing the drawings very much although my drawings are not that good overall.
